Mr. Fields possesses over 30+ years of progressively responding to the challenges and changes in the Beauty & Cosmetic Industry.  In 1979, Mr. Fields graduated from Pivot Point International School of Cosmetology located in Chicago, IL.  His initial exposure in the field was gained by working at Glemby International, a Salon Franchise in Chicago, IL.  He developed his skills and gained the status of Independent Contractor quickly within the Glemby Salon.  Mr. Fields then relocated to the Atlanta metropolitan area in 1980.  Mr. Fields later successfully completed the continuing professional education training on the Scientific Approach to Hair Design sponsored by Redken Laboratories; a leader in the hair industry.  He was the Educational Director for Carson’s Product Company from 1984 to 1988.  He then became an Educator for Standard Professional Products where his main responsibility was to develop platform artist.  Mr. Fields professionalism, innovative business strategies, acumen and insight in the hair care industry attracted the attention of the prestigious Clairol Professional Product Company from 1997 to 2002.  

Mr. Fields established and operated Daweed’s Hair Design & Fitness Center from 1984-2002. He created and perfected a customer service strategy in the Hair Salon to increase efficiency and improve overall customer service which effectively decreased the time clients spent in the salon, as well as decrease the time Service Providers exhausted in the salon during an average week.  Mr. Fields was honored when Daweed’s was selected to serve to provide the Hair Stylist and Make-up Artist for the Stella Awards in 2001 and 2002.  His service to the beauty and cosmetic industry continues to be demonstrated with seminars organized and conducted for the school system and ongoing education to Service Providers within the field. Overall, Mr. Fields has an excellent reputation among his peers in the cosmetology field and the business community as an expert in operating a Spa, Hair Salon and Fitness Center that focuses on providing excellent service while catering to the individual health, beauty and cosmetic needs.

¨      Technical & Operational Director for the Olympic Village Hair Salon during the 1996 Summer Olympics held in Atlanta, GA; where services were provided for a multi-cultural and international clientele.

¨      From 1997 to 2002 worked with Clairol Professional as a national educator and platform artist; instrumental in assisting in the development of their Texture and Tones line released in 1998.

¨      In the year 2000, expanded and established a Fitness Center within Spa Daweed’s; that had a full time Fitness expert available on site for weight training, aerobics and nutrition education.

¨      Member of the One Hundred Black Men of the DeKalb Chapter .

¨      Founder and Organizer of the International Hair Extravaganza fundraiser for the YMCA Women and Children Shelter in Atlanta, GA.  Provided hair styling services where the proceeds benefited the women and children homeless shelter. 

¨      Business consultant in the area of cosmetology for the Higher Learning Project.

¨      Minority Business Distinction Award in 1989.

¨      Chapel Hill Neighborhood Association Appreciation Award.

¨     1998 Hair Prescriptive Excellence for Product Promotion –Design Essentials/Wave by Design.
